Gold Was Made Fa’ Her

Gold Was Made Fa’ Her is an ode to black hood women and is currently being documented in the Texas and Louisiana region. This is a visual poem to Breonna Taylor and countless other black women that didn’t get the justice and honor they deserved on earth, but are worthy of receiving reverence for their spirits to carry on through those of us that are still here. This ongoing body of work will consist of storytelling, photography, and interpersonal programming to celebrate and center black hood women’s’ voices, experiences, and healing in the south.
