The civically-minded public artwork entitled “Fountains” offers a novel reflection on Texas as well as national and international civil rights history, public art, collective memory, and social justice. The multi-faceted public project involves an interactive new media monument at the Dallas County Records Building that reactivates civic space, public programs as social sculpture that seeks to bring together diverse sectors of society for conversation on contemporary socio-political issues and a cartographic website.
